I have only tested DVD ripping from the menu of available options, and it works just fine.
What does not
The mouse pointer does not work (it moves, you just can't click on anything) for navigating the left pane "Common Settings" menu (green "Check" mark in the upper right corner). The workaround is to use arrows on your keyboard to navigate the menu. The mouse pointer works just fine on the right side of the menu options screen. Sometimes the program "disappears" when it's ripping a DVD. You can try Alt-TAB to get the screen back, but generally if you wait for it to finishing performing its task, such as ripping a DVD, it reappears (comes back).
What was not tested
I have not tested the install. It was installed in a virtual environment and the "DVDFab 8" folder was copied over to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\_Files. Also note that it's been installed without the VSO option.
