Created a fresh .wine wineboot winetricks dotnet30 fontfix gdiplus msxml3 msxml4 msxml6 vcrun2005sp1 vcrun2008 allfonts winxp volnum Install the Windows version of the Oracle Client or the Oracle thin client Using wine regedit create the keys TNS_ADMIN and ORACLE_HOME in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > SessionManager > Environment withe the WIN path of your tnsnames.ora, and the WIN path of your ORACLE_HOME. cp $ORACLE_HOME\BIN\oci.dll $ORACLE_HOME\BIN\OCI.dll Install Toad using wine setup.exe You'll get some errors but you don't mind. Execute TOAD by the command env WINEPREFIX="~/.wine" wine "C:\Program_Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\toad.exe" On the first execution you'll get some erros but you don't mind, on the others execution it will work.
