OpenAL32 Workaround for unlaunchable game issue:
- You need to override Wine's built-in OpenAL32.dll with the one Windows has ( that is - the one that Setup installs during Game Setup ).
To override, you can do it both in Terminal by inserting following command:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="openal32=n;" wine AD.exe
- OR -
Open WineCfg from Terminal or Main Menu ( works in both PlayOnLinux frontend ) and in "Libraries" tabs first listbox, select "openal32" item. Then, select "openal32" from list below, click "Edit" button, and set radiobutton to:
"Native ( Windows )" position.
All should be working now. Further info may be found in: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22302"
This issue also covers other software, so please stay tuned. Wine Team is now taking closer look on this issue!
