I would have really wanted to give this game a Platinum rating, because it was really the best gameplay I've ever experienced with Wine! Fantastic graphics, running smoothly, no crash at all, it works even better under Wine than when I've played it on Win XP!! But I can only honestly give it only a Bronze rating, and this for 3 reasons: - 1) I had to disable GLSL on my Nvidia GeForce 7600GT, otherwise there was ugly graphics artefacts. For that, you have to do it with Regedit (http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys) and so long that there's no easier way to do it (like an option in the display tab of Winecfg)it's a bit too much for Platinum... - 2) Strangely, the game didn't allow me to set my resolution to 1600x1200. I've to edit by hand the file /myhomedir/EA Games/newconfig.cfg and change those 3 lines: set r_refreshrate "85" (this is for MY monitor, adapt it!!!) set r_screenheight "1200" set r_screenwidth "1600" - 3) This manual settings, even if they were working good, brought a strange mouse behaviour! You could start the game normally, navigate the menus and so on, but AFTER starting a level (or loading a savegame) if you go back to the game menus, the mouse becomes almost unusable (but still works good IN the game)! I've tried to solve it, but with no success. So I've had to make with it... Nevertheless, it was not a big deal and I've finished it with pleasure =;)
