This version was created by the game's developers, and uses a customized Wine wrapper meant for OSX that has been reported to also work on Linux. Information on its performance is included here as a convenience to users; however, the customized version of Wine used in it is not supported here. Please do not file bug reports here if you have used it, and seek help for any problems from the vendor.

Additional Comments
Installation was successful using the directions of the April 15, 2010 test results. Two shortcuts can be added to the directions however. 1) The beta wine client is a compressed Apple disk image. This can be uncompressed with the utility dmg2img. This will create an uncompressed image that can be mounted (as root) as follows: mount -t hfsplus -o loop uncompressefile.img tmp/ Copy the contents of tmp to another directory (this will be where Fallen Earth installs). Be sure to chown this directory to a user other than root. 2) In testing, overriding ntdll.dll did not appear to be necessary. Winhttp.dll is still needed, however, to avoid update hang. This can be installed via winetricks. Running: The updater filename seems to be have been changed to FEUpdater.exe
