On a x64 OS but with wine x86. Steps: - winetricks gecko dotnet30 fontfix gdiplus msxml3 msxml4 msxml6 vcrun2005sp1 vcrun2008 allfonts winxp volnum - Install the Windows version of the Oracle Client or the Oracle thin client (in my case 11gR2, it ruturned on error on creating a service but i continued anyway) copy the client zip to ~/.wine/drive_c/tmp/ unzip the file wine "c:\tmp\client\setup.exe" - Using wine regedit create the keys ORACLE_HOME in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > SessionManager > Environment with the WIN path of your ORACLE_HOME. - Install Toad copy toad installer to ~/.wine/drive_c/ wine "C:\" - Run Toad wine "C:\Program_Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle 10\Toad.exe"
