What works

Metatrader 5 32bit (build 1525 27. Jan 2017)

The following is working:

- Installation

- startup

- strategie-tester

- metaeditor

I have not seen any bugs yet

Clean wine installation with clean "$HOME/.wine32"-prefix was used.

In order to get the latest wine 2.0 (staging) binary for LINUX MINT (Ubuntu) I had to add the winehq repository:

udo dpkg --add-architecture i386

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wine/wine-builds

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-staging

Only gecko and mono were automatically installed at first winecfg start.

Nothing else needs to be installed.

In order to get the 32-bit Metatrader 5 installed on a 64-bit Linux/wine system do the following:

1. create new 32-bit only wine-prefix:

WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine32" WINEARCH=win32 wine wineboot

2. execute mt5setup.exe-installer:

WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 wine mt5setup.exe

3. run the termin.exe programm:

WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 wine terminal.exe

What does not

The 64bit-Version seems not to work yet or needs some special settings/DLL-overrides.

Installation is successful (mt5setup.exe is always 32bit) but when you try to start your terminal64.exe executeable you get a popup error with the following message:

"A debugger has been found running in your system.

Please, unload it from memory and restart your program."

Has anyone an idea how to solve this issue?

What was not tested

Live trading and real money account was not tested.
