In my case, I had to install vcrun2010 via winetricks. The GOG.com installer would attempt to install a version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package, which failed. After installing vcrun2010, the installer still gave error messages but completed the game installation anyway. The game launcher requires dotnet40 to be installed via winetricks, as per other reports.
