DIALux

What works

It can create a new project.
It can create a new local.
It can create a new draft.
It can open saved projects.
It can render iso-lights.
It can show 3D view.

What does not

There is a "bug" or missfuntion because it relies on iexplorer and something similar to "active x" plugin for iexplorer.
Because of this it doesn't allow you to choose new lights from catalogs. (But if they exist in a saved project it will render it ok).

Workarounds

You can try to install iexplorer 6 or even iexplorer 8, then it allows to "open" catalogs, but either way... it doesn't allow you to import them to the project.

What was not tested

Create & finish a full project from the scratch.

Additional Comments

I have tried to install DiaLux 4.

At first it fails. It claims to be installed mdac2.8 (microsoft data access).
When you try to install this one throught winetricks it fails.

Now I found the way to install DiaLux 4

STEPS
Make a new bottle
PREVIOUS Dialux, add this ones:
+ gdiplus
+ directx 9
+ directx 11
+ visual 2010
+ net framework 2.0
AND this one
+ Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8 (SP8) for Windows Server 2003

Now, it seems this last package automatically change wine config to windows 98.
You have to change wine config manually to windows 7

Now you can install DiaLux 4.13.01
from https://www.dial.de/en/dialux-desktop/d ... -download/
This one is a compressed package. When you execute it, it just decompress the installer.
Now you have to find the decompressed folder to find setup.exe
Now it installs and works.
