What works
Installation. It must be run like this: $ export LANG=ru_RU.CP1251; wine /path/to/setup.exe If you don't do this, it might open the dialogs with garbage instead of Russian text. If stills showing up garbage: $ sudo locale-gen ru_RU.CP1251 Will fix it (as same as 2007 version).
What does not
Game doesn't start due to problems while drawing the scenario. It shows "Memory Access Violation" and quit (as same as 2007 version).
Workarounds
What was not tested
I had no time to test with D3D DLL's from Microsoft to see what happens. Just for the records, in 2009 I wasn't unable to run it, though. It did show up the "Memory Access Violation" dialog every time I tried (as same as 2007 version). I still with the very same hardware (NVIDIA 8500GT) and newer blob drivers (version 195.34.26).

Additional Comments
It has the very same bug found in the previous version. Waiting approval of both to merge them in the same project with different versions (2007 and 2008). I'm including this game here because it's cool and I want to run it in Linux too. By the way, I'm not the retailer. Just bought this CD while I was in Russia.
