Installation (through Steam), setting options in the menu.
What does not
Pretty much everything except the installation (and the DX9 workaround still has to be applied). Although the mission (singleplayer) will load correctly, texture glitching is so heavy that the game is truly unplayable.
This can be reduced somewhat by switching StrictDrawOrdering to enabled, but then the screen went blank after I got my first weapon (which also became invisible as soon as I was holding it).
What was not tested
Multiplayer features - I figure it doesn't make any sense to test them until singleplayer campaign is fully playable.
No dll overrides, Wine 1.7.14 built from source.

Securom sollution by kowaltsky:
Sollution by Alan Luth doesnt works for me, I have got another one:
- make sure, than Battlefield Bad Company 2 is in your DVD-rom!
1) open Terminal and use this command: sudo mkdir /mnt/cdrom
2) Open Wine settings (applications - wine)
3) Switch to tab witch discs
4) add drive D: and add mount point: /mnt/cdrom
5) now last step, open Terminal and use this command:
If that doesnt work, try sollution by Alan Luth.
Securom sollution by Alan Luth:
If you get Securom errors that the game cannot find the DVD, see:
short answer, try mounting with -o uid=$UID,unhide.
Also make sure you have symlinks to both the device and the mount point in ~/.wine/dosdevicesI have to avoid wineboot deleting my d: symlink before running this game. The whole recipe looks like
sudo mount -o ro,loop,uid=1002,unhide /dev/sr0 /mnt/cdrom ln -s /dev/sr0 ~/.wine/dosdevices/d:: winemine & ln -s /mnt/cdrom ~/.wine/dosdevices/d:
For this game, DirectX must be manually set to version 9 (default is 10).
To do this, do the following:
cd ~/.wine/drive_c/users/[username]/My Documents/BFBC2
Edit settings.ini and set the value of DxVersion from Auto to 9
