What works

Installing and running the game through Wine, slower than in Windows, crashes alot. AwesomiumProcess is unstable through wine. Still playable for what it is; an Alpha.

What does not

Some levels crash instantly before loading is complete, sometimes it will crash when adding certain objects. AwesomiumProcess and the dll is the largest culprit for most crashes, specially the UI responsiveness.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Additional Comments

hwreport.txt still needs to be added to the data folder for it to even run.

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO

1. Preorder the game so you can get access to the alpha

2. Download & install the .exe

3. Install vcrun2005 using winetricks

4. Place an empty "hwreport.txt" in the /Overgrowth/Data/ folder

5. Enjoy

NOTE:
Wolfire Games has promised a native Linux client, so hopefully we'll see that soon!

WARNING
At the current state, Overgrowth.exe seems to use 100% CPU on my PC. Please report if you've got the same problem.
