What does not
Nothing. Low FPS.
What was not tested
Everything worked out of the box. Here's a newbie friendly guide: [update] even more user friendly guide: http://setupguides.blogspot.com/2010/10/install-modern-warfare-2mw2-on-ubuntu.html What I did: - Installed wine 1.2 (sudo apt-get install wine1.2) - Downloaded the Steam client from http://steampowered.com - Make SteamInstall.msi executable by right click -> properties - Open SteamInstall.msi with Wine - Install Steam - Enter account name - Download Modern Warfare 2 - multiplayer - Select Play from the Steam Library - Game starts and runs without any errors in default settings. Performance is low, much lower than windows, but playable if you insist on running linux. I set Visual Effects to None in: - System->Pref.->Appearence->Visual Effects->None As you can see I am running a plain vanilla install, with no tweaks. I am looking for up to date tips and tricks to improve performance.
