Booting up the game, playing the first mission, changing audio and video settings

What does not

Game stalls on a gray screen and does not start without a workaround.

Workarounds

If MESA_EXTENSION_MAX_YEAR is not set to 2002, the game stalls on a gray screen. Other people set it to 2003, but for me 2003 caused a crash on game launch and only 2002 made the game start. Example for workaround:
