Installation works almost completely - it just crashes when trying to download and install Java (see workaround in "what doesn't work").
AirVideo Server runs fine, streaming and offline conversion works great!
What does not
End of installation (automatic download and installation of Java and Apple's Bonjour).
After the AirVideo installer produces errors, end it.
Manually download the current offline installation file for Windows from www.java.com and install.
Download the current Bonjour intsllation file from http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/bonjourforwindows.html and install.
After that start AirVideo Server - it's working.
What was not tested
Connecting to AirVideo via the internet through a firewall.
For those daring make/install, there's also an early Linux version made by private developers available here: http://wiki.birth-online.de/know-how/hardware/apple-iphone/airvideo-server-linux
