The sixth EQ2 expansion.
I also have Station Launcher working, it will update the game, shows update info, able to launch friends chat, and able to connect and use voice chat from the launcher. ( as long as the voice channel does not use a password, entering a password returns incorrect password )
I have now done some serious testing in EQ2. I have been to many zones (
t1-t9 ) grouping, raiding, combat all work fine. there are some minor
graphic issues dealing with textures on some buildings and terrain. Frame rates have improved a bit, but are still slightly lower then windows.
Voice chat works 100% in game, able to use password protected channels as well. My friends have told me that the voice quality from me is much better then when i run in windows.
everything I have tested works just like it is supposed to. I am running Profit UI, as well as EQ2 maps.
What does not
So far the only thing that i have found that dont work, is running the game in full screen mode. When trying to go from windowed to full screen mode will result in a crash.
What was not tested
I did not try to install the game from Station Launcher or from an download Install.
I copied the game folder from my windows install.
I would have given this a platinum rating, but, I did not try to install from scratch. ( copied game folder from windows installation ) [ Maintainer's note: rating changed from gold to silver because test results indicate the game does not work exactly like it does on Windows. ]

I'd like to remind everyone, that tho shader 3.0 is in fact awesome and better than 1.0, though please before we start complaining about bugs and whatnot especially with shader 3.0 please remember that its buggy in windows too, and try to get bugs that are only in wine only please.
If we can get this working and looking exactly the same in windows and linux and there's still stupid bugs that SOE wont fix that makes the game platinum here even tho there are major graphical glitches.
Please everyone remember that this is a buggy buggy game. Please try to only post here about bugs that are not present in windows. Sometimes its really hard to tell the difference between bugs in wine and bugs in Everquest yourself.
Please Please, before you submit bug reports or testing feedback. If at all possible try to compare anything you do here in Linux with the same thing in windows.
The game requires you to run the newest version of the game, so nobody uses an older version. Because of this, the only "versions" we maintain are the full install client and the streaming install client. Please place all test results in the proper one.
EverQuest II Extended has been merged with the Live game. The Steam version is a wrapper around the Full Install Client and still uses Launchpad.
