What works

All modules seem to work.
Only Web export works completely. (also the only way to see the changes made to a photograph after editing)

What does not

No photographs are shown.
No slideshow output.
Export (with preset) looks like it's working, but doesn't write an actual image to disk.

Additional Comments

After I installed the following with winetricks: msxml6 gdiplus gecko vcrun2005 ie6 gecko atmlib, and configured wine to windows 7, it looked the same as an windows installation. (Runs also without, but looks rather broken and flat, and the menubar is not shown)

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO
To work optimally, Adobe Lightroom 3.0 requires the following dependencies to be installed:
  • MS Visual C++ 6 runtime
  • Standard RGB color profile
  • gdiplus.dll (graphical library)
  • Windows version set to 'vista' or 'win7'
You can easily set up your Wine environment for Lightroom using winetricks. The following command will get you started:
winetricks vcrun6 colorprofile corefonts gdiplus vista
If you experience problems with the menu bar up top not showing up, you have forgotten to set your Windows version.
