Install works fine
What does not
When Lightroom is run (with wine 1.3.0), you cannot progress past the page that tells you an error has occurred. The reason for the error is that Lightroom will not create or store a catalogue on a network or removable media.
As far as Lightroom is concerned the Windows environment looks like a network drive and as a result LR just does not work.
I have tested Lightroom in a virtualised environment, but it is just toooo slow, I suspect the same would occur in wine.
What was not tested
everything, see above
It's very sad that this will not work in Wine, Lightroom is an awesome piece of software, but it is processor and memory hungry. Adobe seem to be reluctant to port Lightroom to Linux, odd in that there is a Mac version.
