To get past the crash on load, delete the movies from the game's data directory as stated below. To get it running on Gentoo with wine-1.2-rc5 - do winetricks d3dx9 - download xapofx1_1.dll from dll-files.com and place it in the game's exe dir. - delete movies from the games data dir.
