Additional Comments

HOWTO: 1) Install Wine 2) Install the game, skip Directx installation 2) Install Winetricks 3) Through Winetricks: get d3dx9 in order for the game to work, also get vcrun2008 if you are planning to play the 6.3 mod 4) Install the Stainless Steel 6.3 mod Note: if the setup refuses to run, giving "Access violation..." error, put the files in your ~/.wine/drive_c folder and execute from there 5) Enjoy! Note: for all TW lovers it is highly recommended to try the mod.

Capitalization in mods
by Algebraic Entity on Tuesday November 30th 2010, 20:48
I'm a huge fan of the Stainless Steel mod. One problem I've had is with capitalization. For example, Stainless_Steel_6\Data is the same as Stainless_Steel_6\data as far as Windows is concerned, but as you know under Linux (I currently use Mandriva) they get put into separate folders. Is there a way you worked, or I could work, around this issue?
