Mostly everything works, the game launcher, logging in, selecting and creating a character, entering the game world, though not out of the box just follow the guide below.
1. download/install the new client do not upgrade your close beta client, it won't work
2.assuming you have a default wine configuration run winetricks corefonts vcrun2005 vcrun 2008 , it won't run without them
3.now go to the game directory and start it with wine start.exe
1. It's best to run wine option.exe and setup your graphic options (try low settings first, you can change them by pressing 'O' ingame), also set the game to window mode if it crashes after the opening movie or if it doesn't restore your desktop resolution after exiting
What does not
Sometimes the game crashes, i have yet to figured out why, but it's somewhat stable most of the time
The game has one or two issues (at least on my system nVidia 8500GT with latest drivers 256.35); first with enabling DoF/MotionBlur in the graphic options which doesn't seem to work, but that could be due to my old graphic card; and second with the slow loading of system resources like trees, vegetation, textures an issue that is also present on windows but it's far worse here.
Also the performance is lower than on windows
What was not tested
Due to low space on my Linux machine i wasn't able to test the game's installer so i copied over the game directory from Windows.
I didn't have time to play the game for very long so extensive gameplay was not tested
Patching was not tested yet
I've tested the game with high, medium and low settings with HDR enabled and it works well with no graphic issues except for the ones i already mentioned. In the end i was able to play the game at minimum settings with a respectable FPS even with my old graphic card.
