What works

- Installing it through Steam client - Playing it (including browsing the server list and joining one)

What does not

- In-game Steam community: I had to disable it in Steam client, and to disable the "gameoverlayrenderer" DLL in Wine's config panel - "Message of the Day" (MOTD)

What was not tested

- Connect to/play on a moded server - Voice communication

Hardware tested

  • GPU:
  • Driver:

Additional Comments

Tested with Steam version on the following setup: - CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2GHz - GPU: NVidia GeForce 8600M GT (driver 260.19.06) - RAM: 4 GB - Kernel: Linux 2.6.35-24-generic In order to improve performance and to get a stable framerate, I needed to disable multi-core rendering and to add "-dxlevel 81" in game's parameters.
