Everything, so far.
What does not
Wine will not display Japanese characters properly when installing and/or running PM5 wight out of the box, as generally happens with all Japanese applications. This can be easilly resolved.
After installation, I created a batch file with the following line:
LANG=ja_JP wine pm5.exe
Afterwards, I always run the game with that batch file instead of the original executable. For easiness sake, I modified the shortcut created for the installation program to do so.
This way, the game runs perfectly and displays correctly the Japanese texts from the game.
Note that the installation program could be run with both LANG=ja_JP and LC_ALL=ja_JP parameters in order to make it display correctly the Japanese text, but this method proved to be quite a headache, since it caused massive problems with the whole Wine environment: complete vanishing of the Wine menu, crashes, hang-ups... These problems occur even when installing PM5 on a different wineprefix. Therefore, this way is NOT recommended. Run the setup normally, and then launch the game as suggested with the LANG=ja_JP parameter.
Placing these issue aside, the game runs silky smooth and flawlessly.
