What works

All features I use work: import and export of single PDF pages and jpeg or png images; PDF optimization, text recognition, cropping, rotating, analyzing PDF documents, stripping PDFs from OCR layer, etc.

I had previously complained that some versions of the 1.3.x series crash Acrobat when attempting to combine several PDFs or images in order to create a single PDF. This problem has been fixed with wine version 1.3.23. :)

What does not

What was not tested

I don't use forms or the highlighting and comment features, though they seemed to work in a superficial test.

Additional Comments

This needs IE6. Install IE6 with "winetricks ie6." I had previously given "bronze" rating due to crashes with the wine 1.3.x series. These have been fixed with wine version 1.3.23. Thus, I can happily award "gold." :)
