What works

practically everything, I DID test the online feature but only on a local network, it works too.

What does not

the japanese font doesn't display properly in "ubuntu-dutch-mode"

since I do speak japanese too I also have a japanese language pack installed. when I log in with the japanese language kit wine shows the fonts perfectly.

so to solve this issue go to system --> administration --> language support and install japanese. then log out and select in the bottom left "日本語 (日本)" (nihongo (nihon))

when i booted the game for the first time, I didn't hear voices, but after a reboot, I did.
