It appears to work out of the box with Virtualdub 1.9.9. Just install the codec by running the executable, then when you fire up Virtualdub, select x264vfw from the compression menu. There are a few functions within the popup window that present, make sure you select the Virtualdub hack. Full threaded support, am seeing a consistent 750% CPU usage on a Corei7.
What does not
AFAIK, it all works
What was not tested
There are many settings that can be used with this codec, the setting I have chosen so far have all worked, but you'll have to mess around with these yourself.
Excellent x264 codec for using with Virtualdub output. Very good for multi-core systems.
