changed the resolution in X automagically when I wanted to run full screen. but no big deal.
For sound to work I had to enable the "emulate a virtual desktop" anyway.
I set the desired resolution there as well as in game and all worked perfectly.
What was not tested
Did not mess around a lot with different screen resolutions or strange settings. All was pretty straightforward. Messed around with ingame settings also, I didnt manage to break anything.
As I said, had to enable the "emulate a virtual desktop" in "Graphics tab" in winecfg, for sound to work, and not having game messing up X screen resolution. But when that was done, no problem at all. Guess thats a platinum? :) (admin:
