What works

work fine with wine 1.2 (ubuntu package) in xubuntu 10.4. too
lot of functions are ok, including ftp/sftp client .

the "html preview" work if you install the wine1.2-gecko package, and use the "ie button", good for quick css preview.

if you run wine in a "lamp" station the preview work fine with "dynamic pages" and correct mapping configuration in rapidphp. use the "ie preview" button not the gecko button !.

to preview "dynamic pages", like php,  you need to:

1. configure the preview option/mapping correctly in rapidPhp to your web server "document root"

2. run a web server in your workstation/os and the preview "do" work fine

What does not

"php syntax check" don't work now ("for me" in xubuntu 10.4)  it pop a "empty" dialogue box ...

integrated "help link" don't work.

some shortcut with the numpad don't work, but i think this not a related wine pb.

Workarounds

Additional Comments

to not loose your previous setting, you can install rapidphp via wine, and after the install is done, close the soft. copy/paste the rapidPhp dir. from your window install ou backup. it work fine, your config is loaded when rapidphp start. @admin : can we juste add a new os to an existing "review" ? ps: you can delete this note ^^
