Installation through Steam (Game runs without Steam running in the background) Single Player Tutorials Saving and Loading
What does not
Running the game using victoria2.exe. This is not a real issue since the game runs flawlessly when running it using v2game.exe instead. (The working directory must be the one that v2game.exe is in). As a consequence it is also impossible to Launch the game from the Steam client (which tries to launch victoria2.exe).
What was not tested
Multiplayer Extended game play (I started a few games and made sure they ran for a while.)
Version 1.3 of the game installed through Steam. (My Steam client was installed using winetricks in an otherwise clean win32 wineprefix.) Download and installation ran flawlessly (no winecfg required). Installation and game play appear to be easily Gold or Platinum level. The only reason for silver is that victoria2.exe won't run. Which isn't a real issue unless you want to launch the game from your steam client. (Since the game does not need Steam to run in the background I see no reason to do this). I also noticed that v2game.exe won't run if the working directory is anything other than the one v2game.exe is in.
