What works
* The game. * FMV videos. * Race/Time Trials mode. * Good speeds * graphics seem fine.
What does not
* Suffers from the mouse rotation bug #6971. The XI2 patch from the bug thread fixes it. * Gamepad/Joystick. When plugged in the game drops to an unplayable fps while spamming the console with: "fixme:dinput:joy_polldev joystick cannot handle type 21 event (code 96)" I unplugged the gamepad and it worked again. (I'm using a PS2->USB converter, I think it's a SmartJoy Plus, red box). * I do notice that areas in the dark, off to the side of the screen, seem to have an odd blue hue. http://imgur.com/qdsP7 (From first level).

I'm not sure if winetricks is necessary however I have installed some of them for other games. d3dx10 would be a good start. The FPS is a little sluggish at maximum texture resolution on my nVidia 260GTX (although still playable), but I think that might just be the card. Haven't tried Windows on a similar settings yet.
