What does not
Installation. Running the installer displays a white rectangle, possibly with a flicker of the real UI which quickly disappears. No user interaction is possible. After a while the "Preparing installer" dialog appears, which then gives way to another white rectangle with no possible interaction. The white rectangle remains on the screen after killing the process and cannot be removed without restarting the X server.
