Additional Comments

All that was done to get PvZ running, was to download it and then click Play (the EA installer did need to be force quit). Wine was set to XP, and also tested on Vista. No difference. The Wineprefix used was clean. However, a Qt5Network.DLL file inside Origin's directory did need to be patched. This is because Origin is unable to download at suitable speeds, unless this is done. It is not specific to PvZ. The patch was made and uploaded by Heiko here: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31438#c128 My system specs: OS - Ubuntu 14.04 64bit CPU- Intel i7-4770 3.4GHz GPU- Nvidia GTX 680 (Proprietary 337.19) RAM- 8GB DDR3 1333MHz

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
by Chris Chapman on Saturday October 29th 2011, 3:39
Installer bailed out following accepting the licence. Installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) from the Microsoft website prior to installation of PvZ allowed the installation to complete.
