What works

Everything I have tried. I have only about 20 minutes of play time into it so far. I will update as I pound on it more.

I have gone through all the settings and run the game in various different configurations and everything has worked perfectly.
100% stable so far at preferred resolution: 1680x1050, all effects and options on and set to max.

Intel Core2 E8400 3.0GHz CPU BFG Tech nForce 650i Motherboard BFG Tech GeForge GTX 285 OC2 1024MB 4GB G.Skill RAM 40GB G.Skill Falcon SSD - /home, / and /boot partitions 200GB Western Digital SATA - /usr/local/games partition Kernel - x86_64 2.6.35.9-64_1.cubbi_tuxonice.fc14.x86_64 Note I run 64but OS, but have had nothing but problems with 64bit wine. Stick with 32bit wine and all is fine.

OpenAL

This game use openal ¹ for 3D sound effects, make sure you have the package "openal" installed (or lib32-openal if your platform is x86_64).

Alternatively, you can also use the windows openal software [found here]

NOTE: the name of the packages may vary depending on the distribution used.
