- Wine Staging runs better and prevent some debug errors.Â
- Alt+Tab, changing settings while in game.Â
What does not
- The game won't start unless the correct resolution is selected by enabling a virtual desktop.
- This port is known as a very bad one, do not expect Wine to make miracles.Â
What was not tested
- I did a short gameplay.
No DLLs override needed, therefore the Platinum rate :) Anyway Wine doesn't solve the fact that this console port sucks.. The game fails to start pointing out a SR2_pc.exe error. Launch the game enabling a virtual desktop works, where is possible to select the right resolution that makes the game working without the virtual desktop too. Some d3d errors can be seen on the terminal with Wine, this doesn't happen with Wine Staging and the performance are slightly better. The Native port works more or less like Wine Staging, maybe the latter has less stuttering, give it a try :) Dynamic Lighting kills the fps, set it to "SIMPLE" instead of "ALL" if you have problems. ~·~·~·~·~ I uploaded some screenshots (comparing Native vs Wine vs Wine Staging) on my blog: https://manerosss.wordpress.com/2016/06/12/gamingonlinux/ ~·~·~·~·~ Antergos + OpenBox Nvidia 367.35 Wine 1.9.14 Gallium Nine (AUR) Phenom II x2 511 Gainward GTX 650 1gb 4gb ddr3 500GB HDD 7200 rpm
