What works
Installation and normal gameplay.
What does not
Loading saved games that have mods active. You can start a new game just fine with mods, but I could not fix the crashes that happened when trying to load a modded game.
Would have given Platinum otherwise.

GPU: Nvidia GTX 560 Ti No winetricks Some users have reported that loading a modded save through the 'Mods' menu and selecting all the appropriate mods instead of loading the save through the 'Single Player' menu worked for them. Having tried it myself, I unfortunately could not get it to work for me.

Also remember to disable in-game community if you are using Steam.
Installation
For best results, start with a clean wine prefix, then install vcrun2008, d3dx9_36 and vcrun6sp6 using winetricks, then install the game normally.
DirectX 11 is not currently known to work, use DirectX 9 instead.
Use of downloadable content (DLC) may eventually cause the game to crash after a number of turns. If you are experiencing consistent crashes when near the renaissance age when playing with civilizations from the DLC, disabling any DLC other than the expansion packs is advised.
