Simulation, compilation, printing, general code editing, wizards, saving and opening code files, though with occasional visual "weirdness".
What does not
The "recent files" pane is always empty. Also there is occasional visual corruption of menus (text appears as background instead of usual grey). This does not affect the normal operation of the software or the user interface, other than appearance.
After installing, the program will not run at first, claiming that "wav32.ocx or one of its dependencies is missing". To fix this problem, follow the instructions given by Scottc for fixing this in version 5.1.7, which are repeated here for clarity.
To fix the wave32.ocx issue:After doing this, the program ran fine.
- Find a copy of mfc40.dll and copy it to your c:\windows\system32
- Register wave32.ocx manually:
wine regsvr32 "C:\windows\system32\wave32.ocx"
What was not tested
Programming chips and all connected operations (e.g. serial terminal).
Thanks to Scottc for the wave32.ocx fix
