Maintainers: About Maintainership
What works
In order for the program to work at all, both the installer and the
program must be started with the LANG=jp_JA.UTF-8 environment variable
(even after applying the English translation, available at the UTAU wikia.
)
Installation works fine.
The general program interface seems to be working, it is possible to open and edit USTs and input lyrics (works also with Japanese input using IBus+mozc).
The voicebank settings (oto.ini) editor works fine as well, including the sound preview of the samples.
What does not
Trying to play a region or export the wav file results in a "Failed to generate a wav file. Please check settings." popup error.
No settings I could try solved the problem.
Sometimes, after playing some preview on the voicebank settings editor and then going back to the pianoroll, if you try to play some notes it keeps re-playing the preview sample instead of showing the error message.
Workarounds
What was not tested
Importing MIDI, VSQ
Built-in tools and plugins
... and everything that was not mentioned.
Hardware tested

Additional Comments
The problem is probably not in the core engine resampler.exe, as the wav files of the notes are generated correctly in the project cache directory (usually .cache for saved USTs, or somewhere in C:/users//Temp for renderings on unsaved file). But then, the program seems to be unable to assemble the wavs and play the result, or to find the file it assembled. Either way, the program as it is now can be used for voicebank settings and UST editing, but since it can't render the results it is not really useful. ---- Some additions by Annarosa on Tuesday October 5th 2010, 5:48 I didn't realize that some characters I used in the description caused problems. That 'Click on' on the free download section was meant to be 'click on v0.2.76 インストーラ' Paths to temp wav files are *ustname*.cache or C:\users\*username*\Temp Also, an additional thing I discovered now, the cache wav files generation only works if "No batch file for rendering" is checked in the Tools-Option...-General tab.
