Additional Comments

Since the listed problem is minuscule and doesn't affect the game play and the game runs well otherwise in a fresh wine prefix with no overrides, I chose to rate this platinum. Hardware: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 @ 2.4 GHz RAM: 2 GB DDR2 GPU: nVidia GeForce 8800 GT w/ 512 GB vRAM (proprietary drivers)

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO - Installation
  • Install as usual (i.e. insert/mount setup CD, follow setup instructions, etc.)
  • Run app.
  • You may try forcing mouse wrap mode via Winetricks or some registry hax, but this will make menu navigation as unfortunate as a Baudelaire orphan.
    • No longer an issue in Wine 1.3.21.
  • If you want to change the resolution to, let's say 1080 or 1440x900, go to your Home folder, and then open the game.ini file which can be found in the Lemony Snicket directory. Find the line that says "[WinDrv.WindowsClient]" (sans quotes, of course), and then under it you'll find some parameters for Windowed and Fullscreen mode resolution values (FullscreenViewportX and FullscreenViewportY). Edit the values for it to correspond with your monitor's native resolution, and then save.
