What works

Updating on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_prH78m7UE

• +logging in to Picasa web albums online albums works but is fussy
• +ignore faces works
• +face recognition works
• +locate in picasa does work
• +including linux directories works
• +renaming bulk photos
• +emailing images does  work via gmail

What does not

• - hot keys ctrl +e to email does not work
• -locate on disk apparently does not work
• -videos do not work in Picasa
• -very slow to scan the folders
  

Workarounds

What was not tested

to test

• moving folders in Picasa
• importing picasa album dbs from XP repositories
• renaming folders from within Picasa 3.8 on linux locks up machine for a while

Additional Comments

Picasa 3.8 will not start from Wine icon or command line after about 3 hours of usage/scanning of directories.
