This is the basic version of Empire Earth, without the AOC expansion.
There are 3 versions:
1.0, 1.04 and 2.0. These verions don't make any noticeable difference in Wine.
The 2.0 version is NOT Empire Earth II

Game crashes when trying to play with "Direct3d" mode. You need you need to use "Direct3d TNL" I noticed blocky artifacts being drawn when moving the mouse and "fixme:d3d:stretch_rect_fbo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0x502) from glBlitFramebuffer() @ device.c / 5838" in the console when anti-aliasing overrides are enabled in the nvidia X server settings. Disabling this allows the game to work fine. You can now alt-tab from the game and return to it and not have cursor issues, it is perfectly fine when resuming. The game will NOT start unless you set the d3d* libraries to native.

Running the game:
-Use the native msvcrt.dll
do this by setting the following Registry key to "0":
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SSSI\Empire Earth\Music Enabled
To allow EE to find the CD you should open winecfg and add a drive mapping, setting it to CDROM.
