ATI HD5850 with Gallium 0.4 driver successfully launch the game with full DirectX 7 hardware support. With software mode in the past I noted also some music issue (suddenly stop, rumours) now everything works loud and fine. I say 99% in 'What works' because the installer cannot scan free space on Linux partition types; I installed the game on a NTFS part type with ntfs-3g driver.
