Additional Comments
Evernote provides a free-to-pay storage service which you can access from a variety of clients, including web, Windows, Mac, and various mobile platforms. Unfortunately there is no official native Linux client to date, so running the Windows build in Wine may help to close the gap. In my own case, I add most of my notes using the Evernote Firefox or Chrome webclipper plugins.
