I have had Traveler running under xubuntu for about 4 months now. Well I stopped using Traveler for a few weeks now. Now when I try to use Traveler I have the following problem:

Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x028d96a0 in 32-bit code (0x00366e72).

It appears to be related to "C:\windows\system32\olsrvc.exe"

System information:
Wine build: wine-1.4
Platform: i386 (WOW64)
Host system: Linux
Host version: 3.2.0-32-generic

Some update must have come down in these two weeks that I applied and forgot about testing Traveler.

I changed some settings in Pulse Audio's Volume Control.

I changed the Audio Profile from Analog Stereo to Analog Stereo Duplex.

Everything appears to be OK now.
Start Delay
by Jeff P on Tuesday February 7th 2012, 9:03
I notice a delay when first starting the application. It does not happen every time. When starting Traveler, sometimes nothing appears to happen and then 5 minutes later I have the screen where you select the avatar.

I do know something is going on while this is taking place. I fired up WireShark and I noticed that there was some traffic going to Once the application is started, everything works like a dream.

Working Like a Dream Now! Maybe it was an external network issue?

This is the install error:
wine DSTrv203.exe
err:wineboot:pendingRename couldn't get file attributes (2)
fixme:ole:CoInitializeSecurity ((nil),-1,(nil),(nil),1,3,(nil),0,(nil)) - stub!

which results in: There is no Windows Programme configured to open this type of file

Install then proceeds if I click OK

Then if I start the programme:

wine traveler.exe
fixme:ole:CoInitializeSecurity ((nil),-1,(nil),(nil),1,3,(nil),0,(nil)) - stub!
fixme:storage:create_storagefile Storage share mode not implemented.

Things have changed for the better in the year or so since you tried here.... you will have better luck with the latest version of wine (1.3.37).

by ubuntupunk on Thursday November 25th 2010, 2:54
Crashes shortly after launching in Wine 1.3.7 after hitting "lets go travelling" button.

Noticed an error message when installing - wine can't open this type of file.
