Mouse cursor acts erratically when starting scenario or construction mode.
Full-screen mode does not work.

Click the mouse once and the erratic cursor behaviour ends.

It is noteworthy that with the proprietary driver for my graphics card causes the game to neither start nor install the patch (Access violation exception). Using the open source driver corrects this issue.
