Additional Comments

I'm pretty sure this is just my processor, but when looking at ~7500 or more bricks, the mouse input starts to slow down. It doesn't lag, it just slows down. It goes back to normal when not looking at that many bricks. ~40, 50 FPS average on a 2GHz Pentium 4 with an nVidia 8400GS.
