Installation, updates, gameplay, cutscenes, music, replay videos... pretty much everything I tested in-game worked very well. My controller was even auto-detected and set up! It actually felt like it was controlling better than on windows, but maybe that was the placebo effect taking hold. Steam Cloud is not supported (yet), but copying save files from another system into the proper folder will allow one to continue any progress they may have made in windows.
What does not
Changing resolution in-game is wonky. When in windowed mode, I was able to change to fullscreen by changing the resolution to my screen's resolution. Below that option is an option that says "fullscreen", but setting that to "no" in fullscreen doesn't seem to do much of anything, and selecting "yes" (either when in windowed mode, or after setting it to "no" with no effect in fullscreen) just froze the game when I tried to apply it. I've also gotten two freezes coming out of cutscenes, but it may be from me spamming buttons trying to start playing aagin as quickly as possible! However, given these unknowns, I'll leave it as a gold rating for now.
What was not tested
Nothing that I can think of, but perhaps I forgot something.
When the game first came out it was buggy even in windows, which I believe led to the current "garbage" reports. The update pushed through on december 2nd seems to have magically fixed whatever was causing the game not to start up at all, and... well, here it is! Team Meat is supposedly bringing SMB to linux eventually (probably sometime around/after the mac port comes out next year), but in the meantime this is better than we could have hoped for. Also hopefully means the code is in good shape to be ported, as well. PLEASE support them and let them know the linux port will be appreciated!
