What works
Installation, the game itself.
Due to branching nature if the plot it is very time-consuming to test all of the paths and twists but I've tested "Old Empire" (Tramp) and Triada (Aya, Alisa) paths and was able to finish the game.
What does not
Nothing outright obvious.
Fonts in the GUI are glitched so dialogue text is on the black background and the numbers of the rockets/missiles in the fighter slots are just plain black background (so it is impossible to see how many missiles are there), but that information can be obtained elsewhere (in the description etc.), so not a big deal.
The game goes to infinite loop sometimes after saving or (seldom) after visiting a station but these hang-ups are random and not that frequent. I can not test whether these are experienced on Windows™ or not. The game constantly crashes in the "Aerography" cut-scene (death by pirates in the "Hephaestus" system) but due it to be a "game over" event it does not prevent the game from completing. And again, maybe it is the game bug.
Workarounds
What was not tested
All story branches and decisions during every mission. But if some of them have game-breaking bugs, it is most probably due to game scripts themselves and not WINE.

Additional Comments
The tested version was "1.12 (284.2331)" (Russian version) from GOG. During installation process the "/nogui" option was used. No DLL overrides, no Wine registry tweaks, clean WINEPREFIX. The game was not developed for widescreen monitors and by default does not recognize them. There is some bug (probably in WINE) that prevents the game from displaying correctly in a low resolution on a wide-screen monitor (only the top-left corner gets seen) so in order to fix this one must manually correct the "default.cfg" file in the game directory, namely "gr_init_resolution" string to look something like this: gr_init_resolution "1920" "1080" "32" "TRUE" and, probably, adjust the "main.ini" file as well in its "[GRAPHIC]" section FOV = 103 This sets Field of View to be wider than default 90 degrees in order to adjust it to widescreen monitor.
