Installed correct DX9 found here:

Installation went fine, game runs, opening placards show, then we get to the main menu. The menu itself looks perfect, has rollovers and tooltips. The background scene (in the 3d engine) sort of renders.

What does not

Cannot click on menu items, cannot get to game. 3d rendering appears majorly busted based on the background scene on the menu screen.
