First Eagles: The Great Air War 1918

What works

Requires "winetricks d3dx9" to be installed for game play to work.

Installation, most menus, sound, inputs (keyboard, mouse & joystick).

Game play: Instant Action, Single Mission.

What does not

Input dialogs don't work so you cannot customize the controls or create a campaign.  You ca­n probably hand-edit the Controls/Default.ini file to set the controls.

User files (Options.ini, startup.ini) and directories (Missions, Screenshots) are created in the user's home directory, not a sub-directory.

I have to change to the installation directory (Program Files\ThirdWire\First Eagles) to run using "wine WWI.exe".  Running from some other location and specifying the relative path fails.­

Additional Comments

Tested using Wine 1.2.2 built using the SlackBuild from SlackBuilds.org (including the DIB engine patches). Desktop environment is XFCE. Graphics card is Nvidia 8600 GT using Nvidia drivers.
