What works

I also installed visual c++ 2005 redistributable from microsoft's website, it will install fine under Wine.
Then install SmartDashboard R71.30 onto your Wine.
It works very well, I have tested following:
- Firewall policy verification
- Firewall policy compilation
- Smartview Tracker
- Object manipulation
- Topology refresh
So far it seems most things work.
What does not
The only thing I've spotted is the "stop" button from SmartView Tracker is not working, and colours on icons on objects are correct but the icons tend to be a bit garbled. But all the other visual interaction is as under Windows.
